'Tis Finished!

I'm as shocked as anyone else that it's actually done!  My husband was impressed when he opened the box on his birthday, .... that makes it worthwhile.  Afterall, it only took two measly little winters to complete.  So now, the Christmas stocking tradition can be fully carried on in the Rohloff household.  Whew!  Word to the wise: unless you love the challenge and like to make you eyes go crossies on a regular basis, don't bother with the counter cross-stitch patterns.  Try needlepoint.

What a Difference a Day Makes!

Well, actually, in this case it's more like, a week.  I'd taken a picture of a neat, fall sky last week.  Today, it's suddenly a wintery picture!  I'm excited to see the snow, being reminiscent of good old Charlie Brown.  Sing with me, "Christmas time is here, . . . "  Anyway . .

And there you have it!  Time to start up the fireplace,
find my slippers, and warm up some more cider!

Apple Pie Pockets

So many yummy foods accompany fall.  Apples, for instance!  My sister noticed a cool kitchen gadget at a garage sale and passed it up (one of those cutter/crimper things).  Waste not, want not!  I quickly scooped it up - hoping not to appear too spendy by the dollar less in my pocket.  I'm thinkin' it was worth it. . .
judge for yourself!

 Hmm.  Maybe I overdid.

Help!!!!

  Zucchini, cucumbers, broccoli, green beans,  . . . . . . sigh.

I'm not even going to look at the beets and onions.  I've forgotten what weeding is all about and is it really necessary to hill potatoes?

Shades of Pink

Wow!  It was tough, but I successfully neglected waited to post for an entire year!  (nail biting experience, let me tell ya'!)  I wish I could say that so many exciting things have been happening that I've had no time.  But my daily routines and that of my better half's is, frankly, not worthy of play-by-play to those who are even remotely interested.  So, to avoid certain bordem in scholastic and "housewifery" descriptions, prettyish pictures win the day.

Doll outfits are about the "funnest" thing to make.
I hope my friend's daughter enjoyed this one.

my favorite neighborhood tree in the springtime

a Christmas cactus that bloomed at Easter - go figure

This hit the spot last night . . . and still warm from the oven!

I slipped this in 'cause, sigh . . . he's got a great smile!

Maybe I'll try another shade next time.  Until next year then?  Just kidding. . . . . really!
